You lift your head off the ground with a groan. Your eyes blink open, but you don't recognize your surroundings. The ground is a pale purple, and everything else is shrouded in a layer of impenetrable darkness.
You push yourself into a sitting position, noticing your sweater has been replaced with a cuirass and pauldron, your fingerless gloves with gauntlets, a large scarf is now around your neck and draped over one shoulder, and your skin is... blue?
You push yourself to your feet and check that last part again.
Yes, that's your skin. And it's blue. The hair falling over your eyes is blue, too.
As you scout out your surroundings again, you see the light, just a few paces away. You follow it's shine and promise of safety, until you are right in front of it.
At times, you see it flickering. The light only you can see.

All the soreness and tension is washed away, leaving your head clear and your body nimble. That fall must've been worse than you thought.
With no where else to go, you move onward.
The purple ground is laid out in a path, surrounded by inky shadows. You'd prefer to not find out if that's a deadly drop or just shadows bouncing oddly. You stay as far away from the edge as possible.
Strange, wobbly things seem to wave as you pass by, isolated on their own little islands.
As you reach a tall cliff, you could've sworn you saw the shadow of a person duck out of view. No matter how long you stare, they don't come back.
You are forced to slide down the edge of a cliff to continue. You do so as carefully as you can, and you see the shadow again.
Ahead, there's a crossroads.
You go forward, passing and island harboring what seems to be a sleeping pile of dust. You turn the corner, another cliff with another dust pile and more wobbly things towering above you. A hole sits in the wall of the cliff, leaking something inky.
There's something glowing inside. You reach your hand in and pull out a shimmering shard.
Seeing nothing else of note, you return to the crossroads and continue on. You encounter more wobbly things, but these have a strange red glow to them.
You go left, encountering more wobbly things. These ones have a strange red glow to them, though.
You try to pass them quickly, but as you do, white puffs come flying at you. You duck out of the way just in time. You manage to dodge two more of the wobbly things' projectiles, and you find another light.
You bathe your body in the light. A power shines within you, breaking through the darkness.
